Overview

Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1251, by Rä̌ Yä̂fér 'Ebony Allison' Rār Yoú̄kī Yoúrmë̌ Vú̄tō̄ Vúoīó̄. The establishment of Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya's construction back out of the project. Rä̌ Yä̂fér 'Ebony Allison' Rār Yoú̄kī Yoúrmë̌ Vú̄tō̄ Vúoīó̄ pushed on reguardles, and Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya was built using the conventions of Rattu durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt baked earthen streets which form octogonal paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Unfortuantly, these robustly designed timber walls are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a city, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes.

History

Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya used to be more prosperous, but something happened relatively long ago that left it a shrunken shadow of its former self. If the settlement is prosperous, the locals often lament how much more they could have had. If the settlement is not prosperous, the locals blame their ill fortunes on that event. Reminders of this better time can be found in many places within Gu̹beyu̽ Hûke Gûchya.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Lake Ozero began to boil, and released a thick toxic cloud from beneath its waters which brought great calamity to the entire nation, killing every person and animal in its path which could not escape the cloud. Oddly, the plants of the region flourished in the years after the disaster. The disaster brought an end to people, livestock, and buildings. The disaster is referred to as the Heartache Wind.
